Creative Director

Brian is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Art Chicago where he received a BFA in Digital Media Production. He has over 12 years experience creating award winning broadcast motion graphics. He began his career creating motion graphics for the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks before moving into broadcast. Brian worked with many post-production facilities in Chicago as well as nearly every Agency before coming to Flavor in 2013 as their Senior Designer. In 2014 he was promoted to Creative Director. Brian has lead numerous successful design campaigns for such brands as McDonalds, Allstate, Sprint and Kmart to name a few. Brian is fueled by coffee and loves watching Star Wars with his kids.

After a wildly unsuccessful attempt in college at studying music, Brian discovered that he could “use the computer to blow things up” and his fate was sealed. At Flavor, he’s composited and color graded national commercials for some of the world’s largest brands, including Allstate, Budweiser, Disney, Chase, Dell, McDonald’s, Maytag, Nintendo, Kellogg’s, Samsung, Nike and MillerCoors. Additionally, he’s leveraged his more than 15 years’ experience as a leading Flame artist into teaching, having taught masterclasses for Autodesk throughout the US, Asia and Australia, and online for

Executive Producer

Neal Cohen has spent 28 years in the Chicago commercial advertising production community – four of those on the agency side as a broadcast producer and the last 24 in post-production, but all as a producer. Time, People, Money is what he does. He has extensive experience in high-end commercial production and post production, working with advertising agencies from around the world on many different types of productions. Yes, he has logged a few Super Bowl spots under his belt. Neal understands how the entire creative process works, starting with collaborating on design/strategy with agencies through bidding and client presentations to production, post production, music, mixing and finally shipping for air. He has seen the process develop through many phases of growth and technology – he has worked with “film” if you still know what that is – up through the present digital Internet age. He is currently the Executive Producer of Flavor Chicago.

Neal resides just North of Chicago with his wife, two boys and dog. He spends his time cycling and attending his boy’s soccer and water polo games.
